First Trike!

Although Robert was out of town I tried to keep the boys and I busy. I found a tricycle (Retro Red Radio Flyer) online for 10 dollars and knowing Alestair would love it. It was a 45minute drive to pick it up but the joy was so worth it.
Alestair and Emmett were with me (obviously) so Alestair saw his surprise. This is how it went when we grabbed it.
Alestair: Is it mine?
Me: Maybe.
Alestair: Can I ride it?
M: No, not now.
A: (complete dissapointment) Is it Burl's? (One of his good friends)
M: You'll see.
We get home and I walk him around the car. He is so sad...not pouty just sad. It was an awful feeling.
M: I have a surprise for you Alestair. You have been such a good boy. (I open the van door) I got you a bike!
A: OH OH OH (and he hyperventilates)
M: Would you like to ride it?
I set it down and he rode it into the house with the biggest grin I have ever seen on my boy. We got to skype Robert and he was very very excited to show his dad. He then had me call Grandma Fee and Aunt Wendy.

Cowboy Costume

I made a costume for Alestair! A cowboy costume. He doesn't really like it but it didnt cost me. I used clips from an old bra and straps for the back of the chaps. It turned out adorable! I hope he starts wanting to wear it since it is for Halloween.

The bear

We got this bear when Alestair was a baby and have held onto it. Emmett has decided it is his and loves to hold and cuddle it.

How Emmett likes to spend his time.

Emmett has been a challenge for me. After the easiest baby ever, its a bit hard to have a baby who wants to be held and nurse all the time. Not that I don't completely love holding and nursing him or that I would take him back and ask for another. I truly love him to bits. I love things that he does differently than Alestair like how amazing his eye sight is and how he completely lights up the moment he sees me walk in the room. I love how he has learned he can spit with his tounge and how he tries to say mama and dada. I love how he is way more content to not do everything on his own and how he would be happy if he were moved everywhere all day instead of having to crawl or walk ever. But still he has been harder. He takes a bit more time than Mr. Independace (Alestair). However it is hard since Alestair now needs help with writing or learning or something. Anyway sometimes I need a break. So when Robert gets home I will give him Emmett and Robert has found that although Emmett is not happy about this situation after about 15min that there is a way around the fussiness. Its called the computer and a site called kneebouncers.com. It also helps with Alestair. They have number and letter games and the boys can press nearly every button and not do anything wrong. As you see. Emmett gets really into it.
