Big Boy Bed

Seeing that we will be needing the crib in about 8 months or so we decided to find an inexpensive Big Boy Bed for Alestair to move into slowly. We decided that since he is soo attached to his crib we should give him the choice rather than force him into Big Boyness. As you can see he loves his new bed but has yet to fall asleep in it without his dad sleeping on the floor next to him. Mom doesnt cut it in this case.

I am so happy with this bed! I found it for 35 dollars on Craigslist and it is pretty much new not a scratch on it and so perfect for Alestair!

Anabel's Puppy

Anabel is pretty protective of Alestair or any baby/child. Today was a little overboard. Alestair was asleep on our bed and while I was in the shower; Anabel snuck in and wouldn't allow to me to get closer than two feet of Alestair. She tried to cover him up and it was really cute but I could only get these two pictures before she got really mad at me.

Cupcakes 101

Tonight Alestair and I made cupcakes while Robert was in the garage having "Man time". He did not care for stirring or anything but loved licking the spoon and eating the sprinkles. After I put them in the oven I showed him and tried to explaint hat they were cooking.

Aparently the eating them when they were done part didnt go through. This is what he said to me "Mom..." Licks the oven door while I try to keep him from doing so "Mom MOM..." Again licks the door. He then tried for dad. "See. Look they here!" "Dad!! Look they here!" His excitement grew each time.

After he figured out I had the camera out he pointed to the camera and then to the oven trying again to show me that the cupcakes were in there and good to eat.

This is the only one that he would let me get with him standing next to the oven. He was way to excited to get the cupcakes out.

THIS IS NOT POOP!

It is Nutela...Alestair's new love. I put some on ritz crackers and in the next few pictures you will see what happened. Yes most got on his face but he loved it.

Brock

Meet Brock. Alestair's friend. This is just after we went to the Childern's Museum here in Everett and Brock got to stay for part of the night. It was hillarious! Brock and Alestair together plan and then carry out how to take apart the house. After dinner they both went to the laundry room door in the corner of the kitchen and wispered to each other (see picture). When I tried to take a picture Brock stood still and Alestair tried to attack...pictured. When it came to bed time. Both boys talked to each other for a good 45min. It was like back in the day having sleep overs or pretty much every night in my house with Kristy and Stacy in the same room. I had to go into the room about 3 times and tell them to go to sleep. Brock was very good and would lay down as soon as he heard me at the door while Alestair would be standing up and just point to Brock and say "Rock?" like "Brock's here I don't need to sleep". It was fun just the same.

Yes that is right we painted him...or his bump on me.

We thought Alestair would have a good time with this but he really did not like having paint on him at all. Robert ended up doing all the painting with Alestair looking very upset that "baby" was getting painted. I know this picture makes my belly look huge but realize that Robert took the picture and it is a bit distorted.

Update on Baby 2

We have decided on a name and I am not allowing changes since it stresses me and makes me feel unprepared. These are unacceptable feeling for me. His name is Emmett Baird Butler. Unless he turns out to be a girl in which case her name will be Fay something but pretty sure he is a boy...my boys flash. I had a check up today and everything is going well. Contruary to how gigantic I feel I am gaining perfectly and Emmett seems to be as well. He likes to show off and do flips everytime they listen to his heart. I was also told that this is my second to last 4 weeks apart appointment. After the glucose testing at the next appointment I will not only have to not give my blood to them but also go to having appointments 2 weeks apart. I am a bit nervous, but will be much happier when I get to hold Emmett out rather than in. He moves more than Alestair did and it doesn't always feel so nice. We also got Emmett a bassinett that I have cleaned up and it looks really cute. I made some space in our room for him and it looks cute as well.
